Whether you moved for work or pleasure it is good to know the surrounding areas. Below is a list of a few cities in the Metro Detroit area and the different activities the cities offer:
Royal Oak – If you have moved to this Royal Oak or near you can see that it has a nice downtown area with many restaurants to choose from.If you are looking to hang out with friends you can walk through main street and pick a nice restaurant then go to a room escape game. If you want to spend the day with the kids the zoo is a great idea, not only is it good to get some steps in but to look at the nice exhibits the zoo has. During the winter time they have the Wild Light Show, it’s fun for both adults and kids.
Rochester – Rochester and Rochester Hills are great cities for families, it is a great place to raise your family, definitely a good place to consider moving, it also has fun things to enjoy. If you’re an outdoor person Rochester and Rochester Hills have great parks to choose from. Bloomer Park has lots of trails for a nice hike, it is great for families, pets, and people who like to work out. Rochester Municipal Park is a great park for families located right Downtown, it is a great park to take a nice walk right by the river, with different restaurants in the downtown area to choose from. If you like to go shopping The Village of Rochester Hills has many stores to choose from and it’s outdoors. During the winter time Downtown and The Village light up the whole place, people from places come to see the light show they offer. If you’re looking to move to one of these Metro Detroit areas Rochester has many different Great schools to choose from as well.
St. Clair Shores – If you like the beach and boats St. Clair Shores is a great place! Lake St. Clair is a great lake of fresh water perfect for everyone. The Lake is great for boats, but if you don’t have a boat not to worry, there are tons of beaches and different public access spots to hang out and enjoy the warm summer and water. A lot of people who enjoy the beach look forward to moving to this great city because they can enjoy the beach and boat dock and also get the city and suburb feel.
Birmingham – The City of Birmingham is in central Oakland County. It has the feel of a small town. The city has over 20 different parks with many amenities including tennis courts, baseball diamonds, playgrounds, golf courses, sledding hills, nature trails, picnic areas and deep woods to walk through. The Shain Park is the site of the Village fair, art shows, summer music concerts and many other events. Birmingham is definitely a great place to go for a nice Sunday brunch during summer time.
